Contract - Commercial Analyst

Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Commercial Analyst on a contract basis, to work as part of a team in providing commercial support to the various business units of the company. This assignment is to start immediately and runs for approximately 9 months.

Responsibilities will include:
- Providing relevant management information to the managers of the various Business Units of the company to facilitate informed decision making.
- Assisting in the control, analysis and production of month end accounts and reports to the business and Group including performance and variance analysis.
- Assisting in the investigation, analysis and production of forecasts for the business and Group.
- Assisting in ensuring compliance with external audit requirements.
- Providing day to day analytical support to a specific area of the organisation.
- Various other such duties, including project based work, as assigned by the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Candidates should have experience in the use of computer-based systems, in particular for analytical review, and the ability to analyse situations effectively and proactively provide solutions. They should also have strong analytical and mathematical ability, be self motivated and well organised and able to work as part of a team.
